Thank you for acceptance into this group. Im going to be raiseing creme d argents. I have my first breeding trio and a pair of mutt rabbits who had their fist colorful kits last week. I grew up with NZ whites my dad raised meat rabbits and I played with them and fed them and bred them. It's now 40 years later and I'm back to my roots trying my hand at this again. Wish me luck. Glad I found this forum

Welcome! You've found the right place to hang your hat. There's a ton of great and helpful folks here. I've been debating on getting some creme de argents come spring. Found a more local breeder. Just not sure what the right fit for us is yet. I'm not really content with the breed we have now. It does seem that some of the things I did younger are coming back but it really has been a bit like doing it for the first time all over again. Jump on in and enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome. Good luck with the Cremes if you get some. What brees do yiu have now?
We have Tamuk's currently. We wanted good meat quantity, good litter size and heat tolerance. My original search was for new Zealand's but couldn't find any around. I've not had the greatest time with the tamuks. Their personality isn't good at all. I've been bitten and attacked/scratched by them. One doe (now named cruella) is just plain evil. I don't think it's a breed issue exactly but a breeder issue but it's kind of turned me off of them. At this point I'm just trying to get enough litters out of this trio to pay all their expenses and I think we are close so I'm now reaching out to the different breeders I've found for the champagnes and cremes. Whichever I can get that fit what we want I think I'm going for since I'm sure I probably won't get a ready to breed trio. I'm looking forward to having better pelts to use as well. I have a bunch of Tamuk pelts in the freezer but they are quite thin and I'm not very hopeful on tanning them and using them. I'm still going to try but may just use the rest I don't tan as treats for the dogs.
