I have Netherlands dwarf bunny's with pedigrees that go back 8 generations. I intend to visit a show on the 13th of October to look around and see whats up since Im new to anything about showing a rabbit.

How do you tell if a rabbit is showable? do they need to be tattooed also?

I have more questions probably but I don't know what to ask.

Welcome to the show world. I'm assuming you'll be at Bartow Florida on the 13th. That was the first show we attended as spectators and enjoyed it. There are a lot of friendly people there and we learned a lot. Any rabbit is showable, but it will be judged against it's breeds Standard of Perfection. Yes all rabbits shown will need a permanent tattoo in it's left ear

ok can you get the rabbit tattooed on sight for a fee or something or do I need to find something else to tattoo them with

I heard that some colors are not showable? or after they molt somtimes?
probably gonna go to the one in plant city since the one in Hernando is a youth show

This is where having a SOP is handy, though there are some club websites and breeder websites that will tell you what the acceptable colors are, and what are considered faults, serious faults and DQ's.
