Hey guys, I'm looking for ideas. I'm waiting on my cages to be delivered, so, I am readying the spot on the North side of the house where I'm gonna raise my meat rabbits. Please share pictures of your set-up to help me come up with something to house my rabbits. Here are pics of the area where they are gonna be housed. Thanks in advance guys!! :)

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors rabbitry..Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors rabbitry..Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors rabbitry...

Oh, heck, I don't want Fire-Man's set up...I want one of my own, exactly like it! That's not a crime, is it?!

Nice...very, very nice, Fire-man!

Ok, here is our place...we have three areas: 1)the small shed that we first started with, 2)our quarantine area, which was the second version of our housing , and 3)our 18' x 31' carport barn, which is the final version that we LOVE!

 ditto!

and ditto for OAF's!

I started building my rabbitry with a dog pen we had, since this is Mountain Lion territory, and was able to fit 6 30x30in. pens inside. The heat here can get in the 100's so I installed a sprinkler system to keep the bamboo wet, works like a big swamp cooler and keeps the inside 15 degrees cooler. I have build two doors into it, one for feeding and the back door for slideing the trays out for easy cleaning.

I like the bamboo shoots on the outside. At least I think its bamboo. If not, I still like the looks.

Here is mine. Built out of privacy fence panels from lowes.

Ok after 45 mins of screwing around with photobucket here it is! I am going to build a single tier shed on wheels like seen above but until that is finished here is 2 of the 24"x24" cages stacked. The top cage has a brooding area on it that I just built as well as a improvised hay feeder. The brooding area takes about a minute to take on or off and will save on valuable space in these smaller cages.
I cannot claim credit for coming up with the hang out brooding area and would like to thank whoever first posted it on Rabbittalk.

Mmm dunno, are you trying to use the image tags "IMG", or are you using "attach a file" at the bottom of the text box? You have to be in full editor, not quick reply, for this.

My first time seeing your setup SyP- it's great.

I would show you mine, but at the moment, it's just a bunch of metal pieces. We have done the deconstruction of the displays, and start construction of the cages this weekend!

This is my main rabbit shed with 14 holes. I still have 6 empty holes but I am working on taking care of that problem. I just put in a new automatic watering system and have not taken down the water bottle yet. I want to make sure the rabbits know how to use the new nipples first.
I also have 3 quarantine cages in another area.

Nice barn Beekeeper!

(any chance of seeing some bee setups? I am looking to add another hive come spring)

Not wanting to get off topic here but here is 1 picture of one of my locations. Not much to see this time of year. Looks like I have about 8 holes at this bee yard to fill in this spring. I only try to keep about 40 hives now. Before I sold most of my hives about 8 years ago I was running around a 1000.

__________ Fri Feb 22, 2013 5:05 pm __________

You guys are GREAT! You have some impressive and well-thought out operations going on. My creative juices are flowing. I'll pictures when I get something set up. Thanks for sharing guys. :)

okay, it survived the winter and some very high winds...Did reinforce the roof and back wall with cardboard refrigerator boxes, A) to keep the roof from holding pockets of snow and rain water, and B) to stop most of the drafts once it got colder.
