I have a little Exacto knife kit for carving that has all sorts of different blades. They are available at art stores.

I haven't worked with wood in a while, but I can take some pics of my carvings if you want. A few years ago I carved a bunch of little boats out of pine bark for the kids to play with in the tub.

I also sculpt stone. Or did anyway- nothing recent.

I would suggest looking at the piece of wood you have and try to bring out what it is already- you will often see an inner shape or aspect that shows you what it "wants to be". Just carve to remove the excess that is hiding it, and don't try to remove too much material at once.

When you are working on a delicate portion (thin, like a leg, perhaps), cut toward the part that has the most mass so you don't accidentally break that part off.

Do you have or can you get Probiotic paste? I use the product BeneBac made by MannaPro. It is for livestock.

Just squirt a little bit in their mouths and they will swallow it.

You can also gather some of the weed Shepherd's Purse and give them that, or the leaves of strawberry, blackberry, or raspberry.

well, Twix and Toffee are better, but Licorice got it, and once I got the blockage away he had about 10 pellets come out and his "area" was pink and swollen.

and now Oreo has broken one of her bones, it is either her right paw or right hind leg, as she is limping on that side what do I do now?
