removing kits

I have 2 doe that only had 3 kits each,we rebreed both of them 2 wks after kindle and plan to remove nest box on day 28.if the doe dont kindle or go to late is it safe to take the mom to the removed kits to relieve her milk or is this not needed

As far as I know the milk should dry up about a week prior to the new birth..the milk has different properties for new born than for older kits.. The doe should be weening them at about this time too..she should be trying to get them on more solids, and won't be letting them nurse as much even about half way through the new pregnancy....Maybe others will have more advise...
