We made the the recommended size I read on here and some rabbit breeding websites. I think 24”x36” I don’t fully recall. we made them taller than suggested though so they could hop up on shelves. We are in a town so couldn’t do a big operation. But we plan to put them in the growout cages when not being used to give them some more exercise. We wanted to tractor but are unsure about what’s in our soil, they were raised indoors in a commercial rabbitry where we bought the breeders. They aren’t used togreens or being on the ground. So we’re starting in cages. I’ll be transitioning them to natural feed as we want the healthiest meat possible and then maybe we will test one of the ground for an option sometimes. How big are you doe's cages? I have dwarf breeds and feel bad keeping them cooped up in their 48"×24" ones, even when they are alone. I've been trying to think of a creative way to have a run for them like one for the females and one for the males. But I dont want to proliferate like crazy so I have to keep them separate. And ours are life long pets, so they aren't moving on any time soon.
