Hi i have a female dwarf lop that im selling and ment to be dropping of to the new owners on Saturday but on the 7th of October my buck got into her cage she looks like she is pregnant so i would just like to no if moving her on to a new home is safe this far along in her pregnancies.

Rabbits can be moved/sold when bred, however there is always a chance of loosing the babies. It is not advised to move after the 14th day usually, several people take them to shows up until then w/o any issues. Also depends on the doe.

I would be more worried about selling a doe that was not supposed to be bred. The buyer may not want that, may have had other plans. If you haven't told the buyer, you need to do so and ask if they still want the rabbit even.

I agree. I've taken does that were due ten days from the time I picked them up, one I forgot I asked to be bred, and one I did not intend on having bred. I wasn't thrilled but the seller was apologetic and it was ok.

I have told told the lady she is pregnant and she is ok with that coz she breeds lop herself it i just wasn't sure if it was ok to move her into a new environment with someone she dosen't no and im not willing to take any risks my bunny comes first. :)

ALL breeding comes with risk, every time you take a chance. She should be fine as long as the woman knows how to care and can deal with giving her some space to settle in. But that's my opinion.

I've brought home a rabbit a week before she was due with no problems.(gave birth to 9, nursed a foster as well, lol, it was her first litter too!) I think the personality of the rabbit, the environment she's moving into, and the stress of the move would all have to be taken into consideration.
