Now, now!

I had only one breed for over a year until I succumbed to LionHead Lustosis on May 24th- which was over six months after I joined RabbitTalk and was exposed to Galloping Rabbitosis in its myriad forms. I then went for another 17 weeks before contracting Jersey Woolyitis.

As much as I hang around on this board with all of you enablers, I would have to say I have a pretty good immune system. :tease:

See? I told you she was in denial..............

:pancake: :pancake: Well, I pre-innoculated myself to the rabbitosis by just getting a lop right away. And then I have the lionheads for little ones. Plus the English Angoras for cuteness.. Hmmm I may be in trouble.. Before the 4th of July I hadn't had a rabbit in 20 years..

I will probably sell woolers, and I'm hoping the lines with these satin angoras are good enough I'll be able to sell show stock. When I bred dwarfs, I did sell pets, but 90% went to show homes. I'm figuring I will breed 2 litters in the spring, and see what happens after that. That gives me the entire summer to find homes before the winter comes and they have to come in from bunny tractors..

Thanks for all the welcomes :D. Oh and I take this one: :pancake: And you know if anyone has a really nice broken English Angora doe, or some insanely cute funny rabbit in Wa or Or that needs a good home..

yay! Satin angoras. I think you'll find they will hop their way into the center of your bunnybarn! I think there aren't many breeders of SA compared to most other breeds, so it would be too tough to get competitive... anyways, welcome!!

Welcome to RT Ocean. I am going to get through the winter and if the rabbitry is running well I want to get a few Jersey Woolies. :bunnyhop: They are just to cute. Maybe I will need to go down and visit MSD she should have a few to sell buy then.

That just means you're a carrier

HRanchito- Yes, there are definitely only a few breeders. I am hoping that the trio I am picking up in a couple weeks will give me a really good start. The 2 I have are maturing fairly well, actually the buck is really starting to look good, and he was the absolute runt of the litter. I need to weigh him and see if he's making weight now. I took a peek at your website, and mine go to similar lines. Once I get the new babies here, I'll make a website and post some pictures.

Those Jersey woolies are adorable, my very first ever litter was Jersies, a broken blue we bred to an otter. Most adorable broken blue otters babies EVER. But I never had room for 2 breeds longterm, so they all went into other homes.

Do I win a bunny? Hehehehe

Oh my gosh, you are sick!! :p Rabbitosis! I rescued some rabbits to have for my garden and would never want anymore, but sometimes I look at my garage and wonder what kind of rabbits I would get if I did not have the ones I have and what would I do with them and all the different colors. :temperature: I think I need a doctor or a RABBIT! :bunnyhop:

Hi Oceanrose. Welcome to Rabbit Talk. Have two Lion heads myself. Did my first breeding and should see hopefully baby Lionheads the beginning of October. Love those little woolie rabbits. But am experiencing a Big Bunny. Loving my Flemish Giant and have future plans of a doe.

Look forward to hearing about your Satin Angoras. Would love to see pics of your Lion heads.

Quick someone post Jersy woolie litter pictures here.
All I have is New Zealand California cross but here it is. And if you have seen this photo anywhere else it was not me. I loaned the picture out.

I had a white rabbit years ago. Saved her too. Years ago, back in the 70s. Bad situation and I asked if I could have her and took her home. She grew huge. I had her for years. I am going to say 10. I do not remember what I fed her, but she had a cage and a pen outside. She looked like these whites. Beautiful!

I am bumping this up to invite the forty guests currently browsing the forum to join forces with the rabbit-obsessed here at RT! Come on out of hiding folks :hiding: , and join in the fun! :p

Ok..you convinced me to sign up. I have been over here reading all that I can for the past few months, I really enjoy it!

I have owned various breeds of rabbits over the past 10 years but never had the time to get into the showing end of things, as I compete with my dogs in a sport called IPO, which takes up a lot of my time.

I have been to a couple of shows as a spectator over the past few weeks and I am feeling the urge to give showing a go. I bought a young trio of Dutch, and will be picking up some Standard Rex this weekend. My hubby, who is into chickens, is talking about picking up a couple of NZW for himself (but we’ll see about that:)))

Hoping to be out showing in 2013.

I find the rabbit folks overall to be very helpful and friendly, the dog world could learn a lot from you all. :p

:welcomewagon: Welcome Frabo! :bunnyhop: :chicken:
I've never been to a dog show, but the drama level at rabbit shows is way low. Also, this place is much nicer than the one dog forum I've been on! Can't wait to see pics of the NZW!

:bouncy: YAY!!! It worked!!! :bouncy:

:welcomewagon: Glad to have you Frabo!

I raise standard Rex primarily, and they are a wonderful breed. I just love them! I also have two oversized, unpapered, probably mixed LionHeads, and two kits. I also recently added a trio of Jersey Woolys. :)

What is IPO? And what type of dogs do you own? Most of us rabbit-folk have lots of other critters, too. If you would like to share pictures or stories about your other pets, post in "Our Other Animals"! We are obsessed with rabbit pictures especially, but like seeing other animals too. :)

Welcome Frabo!!! I, along with my son have just started showing rabbits, its lots of fun!

MSD, IPO is basiclly schutzhund, really neat to watch. I wish I had the time and knowledge (and dog) it takes to that kind of training
