Anyone care to join up? Hmmmm?

 Hi....

I'll go :).

Let's see, I used to show rabbits 20 years ago (Netherland Dwarfs) when I was a kid, though I competed in ARBA open shows (and won quite a bit). I specialized in shadeds. Anyway, moving to a cold climate and other hobbies made the bunnies a thing of the past, but I moved back to the coast this year and I found I had space for rabbits again. The space, and the fact I wanted a huge garden, convinced me I should get a couple rabbits. So I bought a couple 10.00 lionhead babies.

Guess what happened next....

Well of course you're right. I needed a mini lop. Oh, she'd pedigreed? Long time since I saw a pedigree. Rabbit showing was so fun. And bunnies, baby bunnies were so cute. But then again, I don't really want to show mini lops.. And I'm a spinner, if I'm going to get into rabbits, really, I want angoras.

So I brought home a couple English Angoras, but I kind of got caught up in Satin Angoras. I went and purchased a pair, and then in talking to a breeder, well, I'm hopefully getting a couple more in 2 weeks.

In short. I think I need more cages.

I still have reservations, I don't eat rabbit, (actually I'm Vegan) but I also don't want to sell for pets. So breeding is going to have to be VERY spaced out. I'm also doing bunny tractors this time for part time day use. 4 of my does share a 3X12 tractor already, and I will be building more for other buns later.

So anyway, hello, thanks for the nudge to make an account :bunnyhop:

Be AFRAID!
Be VERY afraid, not ALL is as it seems!
There are Zombie Bunnies lurking about!
Beware all ye who pass through these gates!!! :zombiebun: :zombiebun: :zombiebun:
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

 Here you go, Oceanrose! Take your choice!

:bunnyhop: :pancake: :lilbunny: :pinkbunny: :bunny5:

( Ottersatin, you know you are not supposed to tell new members about the Zombie Bunnies until it it too late! :nono: )

:welcomewagon:

Hi OceanRose! Hopefully you have started a trend, and we will see more brave new members on the RabbitTalk frontier! :p

It sounds like you have quite the variety of little lawnmowers! Since you don't eat meat, nor want to sell to the pet market, maybe you should focus on your wool rabbits and sell to other "woolers". :)

Do I win a bunny? Hehehehe

I'm sure one of our Washington members would be happy to oblige you! :bunnyhop:

Welcome Oceanrose. I would love to have angoras and learn to spin. Awesome!!!

But the hubby says I'm to busy to be adding that to my agenda. :(I will have to Spin vicariously through you!! :)

Welcome OceanRose! A word of warning, stay away from MSD. She has a terrible case of raging rabitosis even if she will not admit it!

Don't I know it! When I joined this forum I had ONE breed and was happy with that one breed

Now I've got two breeds in the barn with three or four more on the way.

:bunnyhop: :pancake: :bunnyhop:

Why have only one breed :bunnyhop: when you can have two :lilbunny: :lilbunny: or three or more. :pinkbunny: :pinkbunny: :pinkbunny:

Now, now!

I had only one breed for over a year until I succumbed to LionHead Lustosis on May 24th- which was over six months after I joined RabbitTalk and was exposed to Galloping Rabbitosis in its myriad forms. I then went for another 17 weeks before contracting Jersey Woolyitis.

As much as I hang around on this board with all of you enablers, I would have to say I have a pretty good immune system. :tease:
