So 2 weeks ago I finally had to quit my job.
Just now I found an ad for a kennel attendant closer to home and I know exactly where it is! Sent in an email with my info and the such. I am really, really hoping I get it!
At the same time, makes me really angry at myself that I did not put in my two weeks. But I just couldn't take it anymore, other lady was getting more rude and mean every day and the boss sided with her over my health! So I was done with it!
I really hope it doesn't hurt my chances....really need this job!

Please hope I get the job!!
:bunnyhop:

Maybe it would make me a nicer person. I know you guys would appreciate that! Job has some human contact to it, while the other lacked greatly.

You had to think of your health. That kind of work environment can be toxic and will have a bad physical affect on you. Sometimes you just have to walk away from that situation. Wishing you luck with this new position. Fingers crossed!

Sometimes people think they can be mega jerks just cause you're quitting. 2 weeks are hard....i've walked out like that before too. Good luck on the next job!

Don't give up hope yet! Maybe they decided to take a week's worth before deciding on the top applicants to interview.

You could call them again, and offer to come in for a few hours and work for free as a trial run.

Call them back, don't give up!!! Some places will wait for the applicant to call back, to prove they are "really serious" about the job. No joke, I once got a job that way and that's what they told me they were waiting for: me to demonstrate to them that I really WANTED it, instead of just passively waiting. :D I'd say make sure you've waited a business week, then call. :)

Oh, I had emailed late Friday night when I found the ad. Have not called them because it was the weekend. What should I say when I call? Say I'm calling to see if they got my email and if they are considering me or??

No 'worry' smiley, eh?

Here's their ad.

They make no mention that I should call, but seem like emailing is real important.

I'll attempt a call in a little while. Thanks!
