Quarantine

We're planning to add on to our bunny barn and change some things around this Spring. Trying to do the planning / layout on paper right now.

Curious to know what arrangements others have for quarantine. How far away? How many pens? Size of pens? What would you consider to be the MINIMUM for quarantine quarters? What did you do right? What would you do differently?

We made a spot in between our shed and house, where it was mostly shady. We hung the cages on nails nailed to the house....next time, we'll hang them on the shed so we don't get woken up from rabbits hopping around in their cage (they were on the other side of the wall from our bed). I took the advice of others and quaratined for 30 days.

You can also just keep an extra cage with a tray in your garage, carport, or covered porch.

Somebody on here keeps one in the covered part of their chicken yard. It doesn't have to be away from everything, just other rabbits.
