As fast as some babies grow, I'd almost bet they get fed twice a day.
It seems my youngsters always have a round tummy full of milk.
grumpy.

I'm pretty sure mine feed twice a day. I usually see does feeding when I do my morning and evening chores.

However, I can't say they ALL do, as I don't note that info down or track it in any way.

Considering my kits were always a bit skinny when I checked them most does only fed once a day.

It is my opinion that it depends on the doe, and possibly how comfortable they are in their cage / barn / location.
I am sure a couple of my does feed at least twice a day, possibly even more, as the babies were always fat with full milk tummies no matter when I checked them.
I've also got does whose babies were never fat and seemed to just be surviving. I'm betting they only fed once a day.

I had a doe that I raised feed her babies during feeding time the other night.
It's been very cold and I've been spending minimal time in the barn, feeding, watering and doing chores. She, for whatever reason, picked that time to feed the babies.

I've also had does who were normally great Mama's suddenly nearly lose their babies. That's usually the first indication that I have some type of predator in the barn - a snake, rat, visiting possum, etc. The Mama's aren't comfortable showing where their babies are hidden, and thus don't visit to nurse them.

It was cold with the litters we had the day after Christmas, so I was taking the nest boxes to the house. I took them to the barn twice a day (two does) and both of them would only feed in the mornings. I couldn't say if they fed them more often when they had the boxes in their cages all the time.
They are both Californians.

I have 5 breeding doe. Sassy, MM, Cotton, BB and, Cali. Sassy and MM feed twice a day, Cotton just once and my odd ball Cali feeds 3 times a day. Just depends on the doe. All have the same boxes in the same size of cage. Cali is a Californian, the rest are New Zealand and, the buck is also a New Zealand. They are meat rabbits, but the breeders are pets as well, except Sassy who is too much attitude to be a pet.

I take the boxes out twice a day, and they do feed each time. Not sure what happens when the boxes are in the cage all day.

Most of mine seem to feed twice a day, although I do have one doe who I have caught feeding her litter 3 times a day. Fat babies is all I will say about that.

Yep, the thee time feeders do make for nice fat kits, also make for munch mouths at weaning, those kits will eat twice what you'd think they could eat - used to an over stuffed belly I suppose. :) I don't mind, a bit of a fat rabbit is good eating.

My mini lop doe definitely feeds at 8-45pm each night.
She may do a morning feed before I'm up, I can't say for sure, but the kits are doing very well & eating well. They are 5 & a half weeks old at the moment.
