I'm looking for recommendations for non-gmo feed. Thanks!

I know there's an organic mill in atglen, pa that has it. I'm pretty sure there are some distributors in VA.

It's name is organic feed mills or something similar

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it, organic does NOT automatically mean non-GMO.

That is not accurate. The USDA will not certify GMO foods as organic.

I finally found an organic rabbit food from Hiland Naturals. It's not exorbitantly expensive but it's not cheap either. We're going to put the kits on it although I don't really think our customers will care if it's organic feed or not.

We have a restaurant who will be getting first dibs on all our butchered rabbits. He wants/needs 6/week. We are nowhere near able to fill that demand but we're working on it. For him, the feed doesn't matter. But we'd like to get to the point that we have excess that can be sold off-farm to consumers. For those customers, organic feed may be the tipping point that gets them to buy. There are a few other restaurants we'd like to have as commercial customers and they will care about organic/non-organic so I'm glad to finally have a source locally.

Hiland Naturals alfalfa pellet in now being milled in Arkansas, and my favorite local feed store is carrying it. Does anyone have any experience with any Hiland products? I am seriously considering changing from Pen Pals to this.

Until today, it had been over two years since the last post on this thread. Y'all may be able to resurrect it, though. :) Just wanted to let you know.

Well, it's already helped me out! The PA mill mentioned is still in operation. :D I'm thinking that if I make enough noise, I might get someone on this side of the state to carry some of those products!

Yes, I was hoping Ollitos (or someone like her) had used it the last couple of years, and would talk about it.
