well it looks like i killed what seemed to be a perfectly good rabbit ( i know it was the right thing to do and it could very well have been in the early stages of snuffles.) the lungs looked normal nice rich pink color, liver had no spots whatsoever. gallbladder was normal size, heart looked a little funky (very dark veins and pale pink) but other than that everything went well its just with so many rabbits and time and money wrapped up into our project I couldn't see risking it all over one rabbit. PLUS i just set up an agreement with someone to provide 20lb of deboned rabbit every other month for the making of sausage. sick rabbits are the last thing i need. I just want to add that I watch my rabbits very closely and she just had to many signs to risk it, I appreciate everyone's in-put. oh and tiny funny story I told my little sister why we were doing this and explained snuffles and all that. then my Cali starts sneezing my sister flashed me this look like are we gonna have to "take that one out too" lol the funny part is my Cali sneezes right after she is fed because she is a pig and gets pellet dust up her nose has done it since she was a baby sneezes 5 minutes after every feeding without fail! hahahahaha
