Entering one rabbit in the local ARBA show. Keep in mind this is Alaska and pretty laid back :)
My problem is I do not have a show cage. Would just like to use my hard sided cat carrier. However, no hay or shavings are allowed in the building as we rent it from the Lion's Club for the day. What could I place in the bottom of the carrier to absorb urine, and attempt to keep stains off my REW Satin???
Was thinking dog potty pad, but afraid of ingestion. Not sure a towel would absorb quickly enough. Any thoughts?

Place a piece of 1/2" X 1" floor wire slightly
raised up by whatever you can find to do so.
This would have the Rabbit standing at least
an inch or more from the bottom, on the floor wire
keeping him from the rabbit droppings/urine.
I would not use a towel as he might eat the threads
causing a disastrous problem. I hope you can work it
all out to you and your rabbits benefit.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

Placing a riser in the carrier like mentioned by Otter Satin to keep the rabbit off the bottom. Place a puppy pad or two in the bottom of the carrier, below the riser to absorb urine. Replace as needed. I haven't had the issue you're facing with no shavings, so I normally top the puppy pad with shavings and a handful of wood pellet for absorption and odor control. If an overnight trip I usually replace prior to coming home to keep the odor in the car down.
