My Holland lops ears aren’t lopping!

I've seen another post here with the same question but I can't find it. I have my first Holland Lop bunny. She's 13 weeks old, she's a pedigree and both of her parents ears were lopped but hers are not. In the photo from the breeder at 8 weeks they were but now they're not. I don't understand the whole crown thing either. I'm hoping her ears will lop at some point. I've added some photos if anyone can give me some insight. Thank you in advance!

It's possible that she is just getting used to her new environment and she's keeping her ears pricked to listen for danger. I've had buyers tell me the same thing, but it also happens more with bunnies with the more narrow ear carriage and smaller crown like this bunny has. Breeders tend to sell the bunnies that have less desirable or non- show able traits. Your bunnies ears may always be somewhat up and she genetically still may be a Holland lop.eitger way, you've got a very cute rabbit!

She looks like a pet-quality holland lop in the middle of her uglies. My guess is that she will lop by the time she is 11 months old. Crowns take up to two years to develop.

Looking at her... she'll lop eventually, but it might take time. It could also just literally happen overnight. She looks (in the pics) like she'll exceed the 4 lb standard weight. My suggestion is to keep her as a pet and not breed her. She looks like an inquisitive, quiet girlie who will make for an excellent pet. At 13 weeks she's right into her teens, be prepared for her to start acting more adult in the next month or so. If she gets grumpy, I'd get her neutered.

Looking at your rabbit it looks like a Dutch cross breed or a mismarked Dutch per the markings standard, its head is narrow where lops have big wide heads that make the ears start dropping at 2 weeks of age, the ears on your rabbit sit back further on the head you want them to sit right at the edge of the eye. I would be surprised if your ears drop.

She came from a breeder and has a pedigree, I don't know if that means much or not. I got her strictly as pet and pal for my male Dutch. She actually is so full of energy and very playful! I've included a pic from the day we brought her home and a video of her silly antics now. Her ears were lopped a lot more then. I just really hope the fall!

So I breed hollands lightly was into 4h as a kid so to say she isn’t a Holland is wrong she can vary well be a full pedigree Holland her ears may drop with time there are massages to do to the ears to help soften the crown, they look to airplane off to the side a lot? Am I correct? That’s a lop trait, I had a kit who still at 1 yr his ears airplane and sometimes lop
Sometimes up and sometimes to the side lol it’s defect and meant for loving pet owners to find adorable

actually the dutch genes are completely different than the vienna genes. Vienna can LOOK like dutch, but the genetics behind it are different. besides listening to alot of genetic talk over the years, I thought I'd find a quick source for you: Cheat Sheet: Understanding the Vienna Gene in Rabbits (Blue Eyed Whites)

Yes I agreed I didn’t call them Dutch I said they can appear Dutch with the Vienna markings someone else called her hollands Dutch rabbits saying the breeder was incorrect with the breed of rabbits that’s all

No, she is a purebred, pedigree holland lop. Her ears used to be down. Now she sometimes has airplane ears and when she's cuddling her ears drop..

Yes! She is Vienna Marked, her eyes are blue. I do know she's not a Dutch..I have a male Dutch as well and she looks nothing like him.Pic below is my Dutch.

Yes! Her ears airplane a lot and every time I hold her or pet her I massage her crown. When she really relaxed they lop nicely. I didn't buy her for show or breeding, just a pet and partner for my other

I looked for this thread to reply when I seen alot of people are selling VC and VM rabbits. They need to becareful because it could really screw up someone's breeding program if they don't know that there is a Blue Eyed White somewhere in the bloodline.
Your rabbit can be a pedigreed Holland lop but its a Vienna and thats why its marked like a dutch. If bred back to a BEW you will likely get BEW kits out of the litter. Bred to other will result in mismarked kits.

I know she had a BEW sibling.
I don't plan on breeding her, she's only a spoiled pet meant to be a companion for my male Dutch after she's spayed.
I mostly just want to know of her ears are going to lop at some point. I have noticed since I first posted this that they do airplane a lot. Hoping they will lop
