Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you've got another for the time being.

Knock-on-wood: Since I've made all the changes in the rabbitry,
I've not lost another one to heat. Mid-90's yesterday and it was
77 or 78 in the rabbit-barn. I shudder thinking about my upcoming
electric bill.

I'm so sorry! It stinks, doesn't it? :(

I lost one of my Zil bucks last week to the heat. :(

I feel your pain,I lost a beautiful black F.G. to the heat a couple months ago.:( I was only gone for three hours, home before noon.Sure taught me a lesson, even if its only 85 in the morning ice is out and available.
The last week in Arizona has been a bear! cooler temps (under 110) but humid as a swamp.gallon jugs of ice melted in four hours, they usually last six or more.I thank God every night that the remaining three made it through another day.Even bunns that are heat tolerant are suffering this summer, soooo glad it's almost over.

Gosh, I feel so useless. Especially since I could have prevented it... Plus, the fact that it was from heat stroke means he suffered...and that kills me. :wall:

Now, all I can do is :gettowork: and try to keep it from happening again.

I almost lost one too. If I didn't
Take him to the vet I think he would have
Been gone. I had no idea what the heck
He was doing other then drooling and lethargic
At times. Thank god I took him in. :)
