I asked for help when the kits where younger, but they have changed since then and since I decided to keep one of them, I really want to know what color she is! :) At first I thought fawn or blue tort, but she's too red-ish in color. I was told she might be a chocolate tort, but today someone mentioned a lilac tort. I'm very confused!

Her father is a blue tort, and his parents are chocolate and blue tort.
Her mother is a vienna marked harlequin, her parents are blue tort and blue eyed white.
Unfortunately, I don't know anymore than that, other than the blue eyed white carries blue (among other colors).

I'll post some photos. :) All help is very much appreciated!

Oh yeah, that makes sense (didn't think that one through)! so she's more likely to be a lilac tort then?

This is a lilac which is the dilute of blue if I'm not mistaken:

If I'm off here , someone set me straight.

From your image , its tough to tell if that rabbit has lilac / light patches , looks mostly fawn to me from the image.

Lilac is dilute of chocolate. If it was mine, I'd compare the eye color to my blue and lilac rabbit's eyes. Lilacs tend to have a somewhat softer more washed-out eye color than the blues.

That lilac looks really dark! It looks like what we in Sweden call "egern" which is brown + blue. A lilac tort (in Swedish "beige") is a yellow + blue + brown... correct? Like this one: http://www.kaninfarg.se/images/farg.beige.jpg or this one: http://www.kaninfarg.se/images/farg.beige2.jpg I'm not too good at all the names in English though.. sorry about that.

I think she looks a lot like this one, which is a lilac tort: http://glennwoodsrabbitry.weebly.com/up ... 57.jpg?315

I don't know... :help: Here is an older picture of her.

In the US the lilac tort would be self, chocolate, dilute(blue) and non-extension(what you called yellow, I think). Written up like: aa bb C_ dd ee.

It can be really hard to tell a blue tort and lilac tort apart visually, especially since they change so much as they develop!

Oh okay, thank you for the information! :) It's the same genetic code as our "beige".

I guess I will have to test breed her in the future to be sure of her genetics... :bowtie:

__________ Tue Jun 03, 2014 11:36 am __________

Here are two photos with her sister. Her sister is a lot more blue/gray in color, especially on the ears and nose. Is she a blue tort?
