So i move 6 kits to grow out pen 1 of them got the runs so i put back in with mom i still have a few days until i put the nest box in for her 2nd litter.i have 2 questions 1 is putting the kit back in with mom helping the kit and secondly can i do anything to stop this.other than taking kits from mom. no other changes have been made same food same water same cage.

How old are the kits? Youngsters at weaning age sometimes have trouble adjusting to an all solids diet . . . Were they fully weaned before being separated from mom? What are you feeding them?
The best way to stop diarrhea is to remove the pellets, feed grass-hay and kitchen oatmeal. In addition give the afflicted rabbit the leaves of blackberry, raspberry or strawberry or the leaves of the lawn weeds plantain or shepherd's purse. Don't worry if the kit has not had greens before . . . any of these five will help firm up his stool.
