If you have both Rex and Angora, go for the mix for meat! We do lots of pelt tanning and the first generation crosses give a beautiful pelt, extra thick and plush and if loin is your fav part of the bun, its extra wide and long.

Perhaps, but right now I have more of a demand for showable/breeding chins than I do meat, I don't actually eat the meat, it goes to the dogs. The only producing chin is a doe. I need her to produce pure Rex. That's kept me from really looking seriously at the cross. The chins go out the door faster than I can breed them. If I keep a chin buck back this fall I might use one of the Angora does.
