Hello everyone, my name is You, still new to rabbit. I started out using an all pellet feeding to my meat rabbit and up until 2month agos it was causing much to keep up with my rabbit feed. I have 6 working doe and 5 Jr. doe, 1 buck and 2 Jr. buck. I made to switch back in august to just feeding hay and green. It has really cut down my feeding cost over the last 2month. Im using alfalfa as my main feed and alot green veg form my garden and my bunny are loving it. I can't imagine going back to pellet again. Just want to say thank You to all, each and everyone on this forum. Rabbitalk has help me gain lots about rasing rabbit and again thankyou everyone.

Glad it is working well for your bunnies, You. You might want to add a small amount of grain to their diet. Wheat, oats or barley are best for rabbits.

Just a bit since you don't want them to get fat. It seems to satisfy them better than hay and greens alone, particularly the nursing does and fast-growing fryers.
