Our Doe kindled Friday night, we had four kits. Last night we came home from church to find that the doe had pushed the box of kits our from under the protective covering we had over her temp. cage. 3 of the kits had already froze to death, we moved her and the last kit inside the house and we thought we had warmed the last one up sufficiently but I found it dead this morning. What can we do to keep our doe from getting mastitis, now that she has no kits?

Sorry you lost the kits. You can feed the doe some fresh mint or garden sage to help dry up her milk. In most cases, the doe copes just fine after losing a litter. Keep and eye on her teats but don't worry too much.

Thank you I do have some mint growing in my herb garden, I will get her some today. I don't know if she was just too young or what happened. Someone gave her too us and she was huge. I think now she was preg. when they gave her to us, because we have had her less than a month, and didn't even realize that she was preg. till my husband came home from work Friday and saw her covered in blood, then discovered the kits.
