I get 17% pellets from my local mill, 50lb for $19.18. 15 years ago it was $14.99, or a 21% increase. That is a lot.

My personal income has gone up by 62% in the same time frame. (I finished college and changed careers.) My standard of living has improved slightly, but my lifestyle is very similar. It's interesting how much has stayed the same in my life, despite making big changes. I like my new job better, and that's all I really care about. Not hating work was important to me.

I’m so upset to be switching from Heinold 17/17 it’s 18.99$ a bag but all of our local Mounds Pets foods ( 5 locations with in a two hour drive ) have been out for several weeks now. I’m starting to convert them to Nutrina 18% 16$-19$ depending on where I purchase it, but I’m thinking that should only be for my does who are pregnant &/or nursing and my grow outs. Thinking the bucks and not currently breeding Does should possibly go down to 16%? But maybe I’ll do that come spring & summer we’re about to hit a Super cold Winter here in WI. I’m seriously super salty about having to switch them to another feed as they have been doing beautifully on Heinold but I can’t afford to drive the two states away and buy a whole pallet just to make sure I have a food security for them for the winter

I hear you. I've lost count of our feed switches (okay not really but it is seriously way too many) over the past year. Currently have a local brand (sort of local), Bryant, that has been mostly in stock for 6 months that is $18.50/50lbs currently. It is only 16% but at least the first ingredient is alfalfa meal.

Currently we feed Blue Seal. The rabbits seem to like it the best. Earlier this year it was only about $22. Now, it is $30-$31. I use the Show Hutch & Top Hutch depending on age. I currently have 7 kits a out 8-9 weeks of age so they are on the higher protein pellet.
Some of my rabbits prefer pellets & others prefer eating hay.

Switching feeds kills young rabbits.... so sometimes gotta soak up the price changes for a few months to get a good window for a food switch.
I switched to a cheaper feed last month and lost 50% of my grow outs over the following 2 weeks. My old feed was $20 from a local ag store.
My new feed is $16 from a mill about an hour away. I buy it by the pallet which drops the price a bit. If I can get to 5 pallets a month
the price goes down another 5%. So, $16/bag for 18% feed from local mill. Not great feed....it has quite a bit of dust/fines and the dust also
seems to build up in the feeders. For that price though I am willing to clean out feeders every week or two. This is in central Pa. If you live in central Pa., the mill is White Oak Mills in Elizabethtown, Pa.

H&H non soy, non GMO, $23.50, and forage grass, Swiss chard

I checked their website. It sounds like excellent an pellet but it's $60 shipped. And it does contain roasted soy, although non-gmo.

A lot of people use blue seal without this problem. Juvenile Enteritis is usually caused by changing feed or stress. Try keeping your kits on the mom a few more weeks and avoid any sudden food changes for rabbits between 3-7 weeks old. I had a similar problem. Now I keep kits with the mom until 6 weeks then move the mom to the cage right next to the kits. No more diarrhea or deaths since I made that change.

I think our feed is up to $18 or $19 per 50lb. Not a terrible price, but it’s not the greatest feed on the market ether. I’ve never had problems with it though. Diesel is average 5.99 around here ATM

Just did a feed run yesterday. 16% is $19.55 per 50lb bag; $21.56 after tax. That gives a total of $86.24 per feed run, which right now I believe is about once every 1.5 months.

Washington state, I get it from a local feed mill. I don't think they deliver/supply anywhere outside the state, unless maybe specialty ordered, but that would probably be supper expensive.
