What would you consider this babies colour as? She's the first Himi we've had, and after reading a bit on it I realised that she does not exhibit typical markings. The underside of her tail is white instead of being fully coloured, and I'm pretty sure the inside of her ears are white as well.

Himi color is temp sensitive, looks like she's in where it is pretty warm so you aren't going to get good color showing. If they get too cold, they turn smutty too....so there is a very fine balance. What where her parents? It is possible she is a broken himi but looks like she's the typical blue himi or even lilac himi that's nice n warm :)

Interesting, because they have been living in a sort of indoor cage out in the rabbitry 'shed', and although the doors and windows are left wide open most of the time I imagine it would be a bit warmer in there. Though I can't say it is especially warm where we live, down south!

Her dam is a sable, and sire is a Blue Otter. So would Lilac even be possible with this pairing? The rabbitry the dam comes from does have a fair amount of sable and himalayan, and must carry Vienna as well because both girls I got from them have thrown it. Have no idea what's on the sires side though.

Normally himilayan a with white inside the ears and under the tail are agouti based but considering the parents colours this isn't possible so I do think she has the tan gene creating this effect and you could say she is a "martenized himalayan" which genetically is - at_ __ ch_ __ __

Only self based hinilayans are showable - aa __ch_ __ __

Hmm what Dood said....most likely a martinized blue himi then. Especially with the otter behind would be more inclined to think that, its possible its a VM as well...but that's a tough one.
