First doe kindled last night I guess one kit was out of nest box but looks like it has a weird abnormality (it's dead too) can someone identify

Is that something that stuck to it? Or part of it? Like it came out of its stomach or something like that?

Looks like a lot never formed correctly and got stuck to it

that's the placenta. kit born deceased most likely and momma simply didn't clean them up properly.

Yep. Placenta. You can see the umbilical cord is stretched toward it. It almost looks like the kit and placenta had started growing into each other.

Doesn't look like the kit is a full term kit. Had the doe been with the buck for longer than just the initial breeding? Maybe she was bred at two different times and had one full term litter and then this one which wasn't full term?

Were there any ears at all?
