Well we ended up making it to a show finally! We have been trying to get to at least 1 more since July but due to work schedules we were never able to make it to one. All 3 of my kids showed today, 2 did youth and my oldest wanted to do open so I showed too. Each of us showed 1 of our Lionheads in a double show. We took Best of Breed x 2 with our Siamese Sable doe in open (she placed over my Pointed White in both shows), our REW buck took Best of Breed and Best Opposite of Breed in youth, our Blue doe took Best of Breed and Best Opposite Breed in youth, and my Pointed White took Best Opposite of Breed x 2 in open. All took best of variety also! Very please with how well they did. Way to go Roaring Little Lions!!!

great job!!

I really wish I could have went :( We have had so much going on lately since grandpa died, we have to try and get everything in order and sell his trailer. Plus today we had to help make coleslaw for the fire departments fundraiser next Sunday. September is usually a busy month for us.

We felt kind of bad. One of the kids that my kids beat in July was at the show today and did not place again against the kiddos. Her parents did not seem to happy about it either. Ashley over heard them complaining to each other. I could see if it was only 1 judge but we had 2 different judges today so hopefully they do not think there was any favoritism going on.

__________ Sun Sep 22, 2013 6:42 pm __________

On a funny note though, Ashely went into the food vender building and brought back some sandwiches. Zach started chowing down on his and she asked him how he liked it. He thought it was pretty good, then she lets him know he had just ate a shredded rabbit sandwich. Now they want me to find a way to process some of the rabbits once we get to breeding meat rabbits.

If you need any meat rabbits let me know. I have NZW and NZR, wont have any red kits for a while since my doe is only 3 months old, but should have some kits from my white x red born next month. they are pedigreed.

Thanks Jessica. We just got a Californian buck at the last flea market to use for meet breeding. Ashley almost bought a doe today but she had sore hocks so she was a no go.

That is a lot of blue! :p The best color when it comes to shows. :D
Congrats on all of them!
It sure is a lot of blue, lol. Wish they did a different color for the B.O.B. and B.O.S. to help keep track a little more. My son is so happy he is taking his ribbons to school tomorrow to show his vo-ag teacher. :D
