It is now Joint base McGuire, Dix, Lakehurst- somehow that supposedly saves money, the renaming. Besides Army (us), Airforce, and now Marines, Navy and Coast Guard. It is growing quite large.
My husband was supposed to have been stationed back to Dix and we ended up buying a house, then he was chosen for casualty assistance officer which delayed orders for almost 8 months. By that time the 3 positions for his rank here were filled, next closest was NC so he is down there camping and he drives home on free weekends. This week he is tdy and won't be back to NC until Friday so we are going down to surprise him. He retires in a little over 2 yrs and I must say I will be glad to have him home and not have any more deployments. Our oldest is at Ft Hood and he just got back and the unit is scheduled to leave again next June or July.

Yeah, the military is doing alot of that nowadays. I was in the USAF for just over 22 years, and the last base I was at in Alaska is now named Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson or something along those lines. I guess they're back to the good ol' days of doing more with less, and working smarter not harder.

ive sent out at least 20 asking if their going to arba show and mentioning i am starting, i have had 3 rsponses. one very nice breder whose been super informative. one who was short with me and another who passed me on to a more local woman

My phone call went well. 
The breeder I called had a Black to Black breeding that threw 3 out of 4 Blues(the second time he has bred her to a Black and she had mostly Blues). He typically doesn't keep the Blues and tries to concentrate on Black. But he said that all 4 where bucks and the one Blue was very good and is about 10 weeks old and would be willing to sell him to me. Now he isn't sure if he is going to the Charleston show, UGH. So I offered to drive to him(only about 2 hours from Charleston) to pick the Blue up. He is calling a few local breeders friends to see if they could take the Havana, and meet me @ the show.

Got a phone earlier looks like he has a long time friend heading down from NC Friday and will stop by and pick up the Havana's for me and bring them Saturday to the show. I'll have full carriers on the way back.

Love the fact you will have full carriers. Bunny Lovers are just such awesome people! Working together to help each other get the bunnies they want.
