Does this Silver Fox carry the wooly gene?

I pulled out this blue silver fox doe the other day -- her fur is unlike any other that I've ever had!

Is this the wooly gene expressing itself?

looks somewhat wooly to me... does it have a different texture???

Slightly, it's hard to tell with it being baby fur. I am going to hang onto it for now and wait and see. Visually, it's much different than any other SF kit I've had!

Do you have a pedigree? I know there are some certain lines that do carry the wool gene... Starck's is one of them.

I'd be interested to see how this turns out. Longer wool is desirable in Sf, up to two inches, but almost no one has recently achieved that, and it's been suggested by some to get it by breeding into angoras...
