I have a pair of mini-lops siblings. Their father was a Holland Lop. Mother mini. The last 2 litters had 3 normal size kits and 3 and 4 half size kits. The small one looks normal except they don't seem to be able to eat and they starve. They would suck on the nipple but don't seem to get any milk. The regular size one have no problem. I don't have anything small enough to force feed the small ones. If they are peanuts it would be useless to try.

Your description sounds like they are peanuts but that would mean both parents are true dwarfs (each have 1 dwarf gene) and the dwarf gene is not supposed to be in the mini lop breed. Can you post pictures of the parents or do you know their weight?

It is possible they are just not a good match and another genetic defect is cropping up.

Dood? The fact that they have a Holland Lop sire and are siblings makes it possible. :( Hollands can and do have peanuts sometimes.

I don't think you are supposed to cross Hollands into Mini Lop lines though...not sure to be totally honest though. Mini Lop people, weigh in here? :)

I've concluded after reading up on peanuts that they are peanuts. Guess that means both parents do have the dwarf genes. Since they look more like mini-lops. I'll sell the babies to the pet shop as mini's. Their bodies and ears are longer than Hollands. Sorry no camera.
