We ended up making a last minute decision to go to the Corners of the South Show in Shreveport, LA this weekend and I have to give a shout out to the show committee and show superintendent, Austin Roark! It was the first time for this club to run a "big" show and they did a great job - triple open/youth show plus specialties!! We showed four times and we were done by mid-afternoon on Saturday! They also did a "6 Rare Breeds" specialty, which I heard so many positive comments about. My kids show Netherlands (so not a rare breed) but those breeders were so excited to have a specialty of their own! Awards were unique, useful, and very well done (too bad we didn't go home with one  ); the venue was very nice; great line up of judges - over-all just a great show! I heard they had over 3,000 entries.

It was a great show! I am so happy they they put that club and show together. Austin in an awesome young man, and so are the people helping him. They are very nice people, and they deserved to have a great show. That Giant Chin that won the rare breed specialty is a stunning animal!
