A friend has sable-line rabbits. Since I've never raised sables, I still have trouble figuring out their colors. She sent me photos of the kit in question, and the parents. Have any clues as to what to call these colors?

Here's the litter:

Yes, I agree with smoke pearl (which I think is the angora name for blue sable <aaB_c(chl)_ddE_>), or possibly blue pearl <aaB_c(chl)_ddee>. (I think in angoras non-extension colors are known as pearl no matter what the base color...?).

Are one or two of the other kits torts? The kit on the left below is so pale and barely shaded, but it seems that the kit on the right has dramatic enough shading at this stage to be a blue pearl (by which I mean non-extension blue sable, in case I have the angora color terms wrong):

What colors are the parents being identified as?

It turns out the dad is the second mystery kit in the thread https://rabbittalk.com/threads/color-conundrums.36389/ and his parents are listed as self blue and high rufus chocolate agouti.
Do you mean this?
"The second mystery is a pair of kits from a blue x high rufus chocolate agouti mating. They looked like opal and lynx at first, but now. . ."

I don't see how he could have lost those light ear linings.

Just looking at the adult photo above, my first thought was sable; maybe dilute sable, looking at how bluish the wool is, but his face doesn't look blue. I think we discussed chocolate sable earlier, but at least in this photo I don't see chocolate.

The adult doe looks sable-y, too, but the greater contrast between the fur and the wool colors, at least in the pictures on my screen, inclines me to maybe non-extension/sable point (in angora, pearl?).
