Cleaning up/dust prevention

So in my barn I have chickens peacocks and rabbits. I went to sweep the floor and you wouldn't believe the dust cloud. Is there anyway to keep the dust down? Also am I better off to clean with a mop and bucket or should I grab a vacuum? I have 2 litters on the go ATM

When I used to work at a golf course, I had to sweep the golf cart garage. We used sweeping compound to keep the dust down. Something like this:
