Yes, you are right apparently.Best to make sure to get the Mrs spayed eventually. When we talked to the vet about if neutering really did extend the life expectancy of a bun, he said that for males, it maybe extends by a negligible amount, but for females it was a phenomenal difference.
Unspayed does (mated or not) tend to develop reproductive cancer by age 5, so spaying can potentially double or triple their lifespan!
