I have a pregnant doe (2 wks.) that is having similar symptoms.
Do does usually have digestive upset during pregnancy?
Her poops are smaller and wetter, and stuck together.
I have pulled her grains, and replaced them with oatmeal. Also, gave her dried strawberry leaves and a rasberry cane.
If I'm remembering correctly, parsley is not safe during pregancy?

Went out this morning and I think he peed once and his poop was about half normal size but at least there was some there. Looking at other options to get that digestive tract going. Been told bunny laxatives are not very effective, anyone disagree? Should I go pick some up today at the vet?
see, you are having a problem of which i was trying to tell you in the beginning. Rabbits that goes off of feed is something wrong.... and here is calf manna and alfalfa is what did it. Mostly likley.... Now it might be to late. .. It will stop pooping all together and start grinding his teeth... ..gO and get some gas drops in the baby idle . .. start giving it every hour and get some heavy mineral oil .. One cc for every 4 hours and hay and oatmeal only until you see poop again then carry on from there.

He's much better today. A couple pee spots and about double the poops of yesterday. He went on parsley and timothy only yesterday and a water bowl was added in addition to the water bottle to give him as much water option as he wanted. After consulting a vet on the phone who deals a lot with rabbits in our area she recommended I massage his stomach gently to help relieve gas pressure and as I was doing it, I could tell it was such a relief to him given the bunny body language he was giving off. He's getting full range of the bunny run today as well so he can get as much as exercise as he needs to work out his problems.

We must have caught this very early in the process because he never got to the severe pain stage yet he was able to tell us something was wrong from the start going off the feed.

You did catch it in time... I am very happy he is doing better. But he isnt out of the woods yet. Keep giving him the timothy hay and running around and before you know it he will be a pooping machine again...lol
One advise i wouldnt use him for breeding as he can pass this on and you dont want that.

After our second set of shows he was already primed to be our pet mascot given how poorly he has done. He is already begging for pellets today when I gave him his timothy. He gave it a look of disgust and looked at me for the real food. Rough tough stuff bun, you're on a diet this week (despite the fact he's the skinniest flemish in the group :D )

As for the pooping, my wife said, you know this could be a big old trick to get to be in the exercise pen more each day. He just holds it all day long and then poops all over the place out in the grass where you can't see it :p

I would wait for another day before giving pellets. But give him some oatmeal from your kitchen that will help to tie him over and it is good for him. Him wanting his food is a good sign .. He is on his way but dont push it .. you want him to beg over still in the corner. glad he is better.

Is it okay for kits to have alfalfa? I took the older ones off alfalfa a couple of weeks ago and nobody gets Calf Manna. The Calf Manna is now on the compost bins.

Yes they can. I have babies that are 3 weeks old i give them the stuff that falls off the stem. It is easier for them .. Actually i have couple of feed bags that i put the shaft in. I dont waste it... about once a month all the rabbits will get a big handful of it. Just not a daily thing.... You can still give calf Manna but only once a week .. It give them a bit of variety in there diet and dont get bored of the same thing.

This is not normal.

Be very careful and treat this doe like she is very sick.

The last time I had this happen I lost my doe.

No parsley (I think that's right). Dandelions, oats, the other things you are doing now, and I know there is something I'm forgetting, a plant I give that MaggieJ suggested, but it escapes me now. Probiotic paste if possible.

Thanks for addressing my doe, I'm concerned about her health. I gave her the electrolyte solution posted earlier, w/ mashed banana but she doesn't seem interested in it. She seems to like the strawbery leaves I dried and the hay I'm giving her, but she's not eating a ton of the oatmeal. I brought her in and weighed her and she has gained weight, which is a good sign. I'm taking notice of her poops, most are normal and some are small and wet looking. I'll pick up some probiotic paste today if I can find it.
