I have three does nursing kits right now and the supplemental food they love the best is cabbage. I started giving it to them when I cleaned out the garden (the leaves left after the heads were picked). I think they need it as it has essential minerals for growing kits: calcium, iron, potassium and others. We raise our rabbits with a base diet of pellets supplemented with forage weeds, garden scraps, sunflower seeds, apple leaves & twigs and kitchen scraps.
The rest of the rabbits like cabbage too, just nothing like the mommas.
