I have 3 New Zealand Does and a buck coming from a farm a couple of miles away. I spent today starting their new home. I have to thank ferreriinfo1111 on Youtube (search Canadian rabbit hutch) for the inspiration. His hutches are awesome! Here is the beginning of mine........ It will be a 6 holer........

Looks great! :D

I saw those videos too and was pretty close to building the same ones. My issue was the size and weight of his hutches and potential problems with their placement in our yard. Space wasn't a concern but sun exposure was. All our trees are on the north and west sides of our yard, so no shade from the hottest times of the day.

I eventually decided to convert a lean-to shed (24' x 12') I built on the back of my double car garage into a barn. For summer months I installed a 2 speed 10" vent fan and insulated the walls and ceiling. For winter months I just use a small propane catalytic heater set on low to keep the temps above freezing so the water doesn't freeze.

So far so good, but I may have no choice but to build some structures like yours when our rabbit population gets too overwhelming for the "barn".

Keep up the good work.

That sure isn't what I think of when somebody says rabbit hutch  Add a few more feet and you've got a rabbit barn! It looks really good so far :) I just never wanted a stacked hutch or cage I guess I don't like bending or something. Make sure to cover your exposed wood between cages with something. Little strip of that 1/2" wire bend a 90 works great! Good Luck!!

I love it! Mine are in the barn but I've been thinking of moving some out and that beautiful structure is giving me ideas....:D
