Today when I flipped Gaia to let a kit nurse, I noticed her upper left tooth is sticking out a bit. It wasn't like this last time I checked. When I press on the tooth, she moves her jaw away from it; I didn't press hard enough to see if it wiggles, though. She doesn't react when I press on the other tooth. I felt around inside her mouth to check her back teeth, but they all seem fine.

I didn't notice it about a week ago when I trimmed her claws and moved her to a new cage, so I think it's pretty recent. She'd been attacking the wire to fight her new neighbor. Shortly after the cage change, she'd started tipping her head back and silently chattering her teeth. Given a branch, she chewed almost nonstop. I was hoping a big belly full of babies had something to do with it, but she continued the chattering even after kindling, and it's been worrying me. I feel a little less worried now that I think I've found a possible cause, but I'm still worried because what am I to do about a broken tooth?? :x

I am assuming it is an upper tooth but it doesnt really matter.

Hopefully it will grow back straight and until it is long enough to meet the lower teeth you may need to trim them.

If it grows back crooked you will need to trim both the upper and lower teeth at least once a month to prevent it from growing into her tongue or cheek or roof of her mouth.

If the loose tooth is preventing her from eating then you should pull it.
