Check the Otter doe's belly you might find evidence of some brindling which would make her a harlequinized otter. If the red buck had ej he would be harlequin. The ej gene is somewhat co-dominant with the otter gene.

Harlequin to any broken will give the possibility of a tri color depending on what the broken carries, or you can then keep one from that breeding to breed back to the Harlie and your chance of tri colors will go up since that one you kept could carry the right gene, you will never know unless you breed it and the genes hook up just right.
