More latches are in order, I guess.

Sorry to hear about the trial separation. I hope you can work things out peaceably. :clover:

Isn't the dog your husband's? Could you try a "trial separation" with her too?

She is indeed his. Its up in the air whether or not she comes with us but I really hope not. And these things happen, people grow and change into other people. We are not quite at peaceably but not at truly horrible so we shall see how it goes.

And shall put a new door on that cage and see if my friendly harlie breeder will trade a show quality buck for a beautiful New Zealand Red doe and see how we get on with the project.

So sorry to hear of your loss, but remember if you got the genes to make that rabbit they were there in the first place, and you could very well get one even nicer than him. Keep us all updated.

Oh, and sounds like the dog needs a new loving home :/

I had her a home but hubby wouldnt let her go  a good home too. She has so many good things about her that could be brought out in a single person home that its as much sad as anything when she goes mental and does something like this. Being one of a litter of 17 she just didnt get enough of something to make her truly stable.

The loss of the buck isnt the end of the world but it sure is frustrating and he died a horrible death, frightened to death. It was hard to tell he was dead at first, his head was up, back legs tucked under and front feet stretched out a little bit forward adn eyes open. As full rigor had set in when we found him he was like a stuffed rabbit from a taxidermy shop.

Shall try to get pictures of his one and only contribution so far. We do have one other doe preggers by him but she isnt part of my project so not much use there, her kits tend to keep her personality and I dont want that. She isnt mean, just VERY unhappy with human contact.

Glad I have his blood still in my herd but I would rather still have the rabbit
