Yea, I was hoping to be able to just put up metal or plywood all around the row and on top, but the fox will eventually get greedy. Can't risk it and don't really have wood to make a building under those trees. Wouldn't be good for the trees to have to grow into the building either.

__________ Thu Jan 12, 2012 6:54 pm __________

Its hung, but I have no idea how you guys get everything all neat and straight. I was being pooed on, they go to bed early. And the cage was full of buns while I was hanging it...ah well. There is more wire ties on it than you'd think, lol.
Chicken wanted to be in the picture.
One of the babies is really active, always wandering and tonight I found it wandering in the cage with momma. It went back into the nest once I showed up.

I meant to reply to Maggie's post! ;) I have to use the brick because I have the boxes with the front wall and they learn to climb out so fast!

Wow, they are really getting big!

Ah, okies. Yea, everyday they look bigger! Soon they wont be so cute! =(

Nope, they will be Red Eyed, Devil Rabbit, eating machines! Much easier to send those off to FC!

Moved the other rabbits into the chicken run today. Still need to get plywood, using tarps for now to help block some of the crazy wind we are having.

__________ Sat Jan 21, 2012 3:12 pm __________

Am Chin had 4-5 blue babies!

Otter, I find a ton of fur at the end of the nest, no where near the kits. That pic is how I found them this morning, all piled on top and moving under each other. I'm using a small plastic dog crate half for the nest. Babies are at the back and where the door would be is where I always find all the fur.
But w/e, they are all growing and doing well.

Actually, in that first pic, you can see the gray fur mass all piled away from the nest.

They are growing so fast! One opened it's eyes like I guessed they would. Two are real wiggly if I start talking to them. And all are too active to stay still for pics if I hold them, lol.

They don't seem cold - they all look very content - congratulations :bunnyhop:

Now that they are haired out it's less important for them to be covered. They move from top to bottom of the "bunny pile" to regulate their own temperature. Just be sure none of them wanders off into a corner where they can't find the warm bunny pile when they need it.

Yea, they are fine, run around all over, nap on mom or practice their triangle patterns, lol.
They are in the coop, so I'm not worried about them getting cold now. I just don't know when I could move them outside with mom. Or if I should wait until they are 6wks and then put them in their own pen outside. hmm...

__________ Mon Jan 30, 2012 8:14 pm __________

Am Chin 4 kits.
