See my post above. Herbicide-resistant GMO strains of alfalfa have been developed.
And Grazon is still toxic to the "roundup ready" versions which is mostly what they are doing when they are making herbicide tolerant versions of crops.

Grazon will not be in alfalfa... period. Alfalfa will not grow in a field that has been sprayed with Grazon for 2-3 years afterwards.

Agreed, I didn't understand your point.
 
Right, but not herbicide-resistant, it's herbicide tolerant so they can spray it with tons of glyphosate without killing it.
Yep, that's more or less what I meant :) Whichever - it means some of that glyphosate will remain on the alfalfa, which is not a good thing at all.
