    Meals On Wheels----Rabbitry

Well, a Update---Its been close 5 years since I built the Meals On Wheels----It has been 5 easy years of raising rabbits---I am still using it-----only 6 breeders in it right now. Even got the same blue tarp on the sides I figured would not last a year or so. I will Have To Say, I still Love it...

Thanks So Much for the "Flowers"!! I Love Doing/building things and when I do something that helps so much in "making It Easier" I like to Share---No I Don't----I LOVE to share! Thats why I took the time to take pictures in stages---so most could copy if they wanted. I allow some to tour my farm...

Vermiculture: not sure what to use in my rabbit trays

Nicrose8, why don't you form screen wire to fit your trays----to collect the poop and allow the urine to go into the bedding. Add poop to your worm bin, trash/compost pile the urine and bedding?

How Many Cages Do I Need?

Cages---8 should work-----If Everything works out to 100% with your plans. As already stated you will want to keep changing out a buck and keep adding a fresh doe, so you really need to have a few more cages on stand by. Some questions here---Just for Thoughts!! Your sister gets 1/4th Mother...

    How to kill pigs

I (by myself)have slaughtered 11 in a little over a year---everyone with a 22 long. No problems. I skin mine. You need some way to hang the hog and a way to get it to the hanging spot. I separate the hog from the others the day before and hold its feed. The next morning I walk up while...

    Hanging vs. Stacked Cages

I posted this about a year ago meals-on-wheels-rabbitry-t12968.html ----I use old window screens under my hanging cages(white metal frame directly under the cages), they were free but they are easy/cheap to build any size you need. Would probably not cost much more than wood and Being they are...

    Wire for the cage floor...

If you will look close at the 1/2x1 wire, when you got the 1/2" side up it is easier on the rabbits feet because they are closer together. Millinex, if you got a good gauge of 1/2 x 1" you will like that wire better than 1/2x1/2-----the poop will fall through easier.

Did You Put The Doe in the Bucks Cage when you tried to breed them??

Buying Cages or Building your own.

http://www.harborfreight.com/14-gauge-s ... 68199.html These things are great for cage building, and any other thinner cutting metal jobs around the Farm/place. Note----I have never used these from Harbor Freight. I bought the first pair from Northern Tools for close twice this price. My...

Buying Cages or Building your own.

If you did not see it in a post some time back, I will post a link to some electric shears that make cutting the cage wire a breeze. If you got alot to build the $45 is a good investment. I use mine often around the farm for alot of other things like cutting sheet metal for feeders, cutting...

Can I share my cage photos with you?

I know every Tracror Supply is not set-up exactly the same. My TS has them on the shelf above the 50# bags of rabbit feed.

Can I share my cage photos with you?

Buying Cages or Building your own.

The best way to save is to build them right the first time where they will last for years and years. Use heavy gauge wire, price around for your wire, try to find some place that has it in a short driving distance to cut out the shipping. By the wire the size you need or figure out after cutting...

    Using T-posts as cage supports/legs

You can use the T post then get something like 1/2 or 3/4" metal electrical conduit and some U clamps to bolt the conduit pieces to the T post. You will have to drill a couple holes in the conduit so the U clamps will slide into them at each T post. This way you can readjust the height later if...
