    Gooey eye: Final update

The only thing I use anymore is Terramycin. It's a cream you pit a dab on your finger twice a day and put it in the corner of their eye. It seems to last/work/stay longer for me.. Just my worth.

    Mothballs for rats

I had them bad in the shop (were I keep the rabbits) this fall. You would see and gear them everywhere. Floor, walls, ceiling etc. I tried Tomcat bait blocks and it was worthless. They wouldn't even try a bite...more research... Picked up a few packets of what I grew up calling "Magic Milo"...

    Ivermectin Injectable: Topically or orally?

I use Ivermectin on my REW Flemish Giants with no ill side effects. .08cc per pound of rabbit for 3 days then give them a break and repeat one time in 11 days. Put the syringe in the corner of their mouth (with NO needle) and squirt it in. Not to fast so the don't inhale it and aspirate on it...

    Alternate growout raised bed garden?

Spinach is another one that comes back fast when cut but usually will bolt out when the temps of summer arrive. Kale and parsley are other ones that return pretty fast. If you don't like cilantro, (nor do I), it just means more for the bunnies. :P

    Alternate growout raised bed garden?

Plant a ton of cilantro for them. You can start early and grow late in the year. The stuff is impervious to cold. (good to about 15 degrees) Rabbits love it and bugs don't bother it. To harvest just cut with a sharp knife about 1" above the ground and it regrows. :) Radish tops are good to but...

Outdoor Hutch Ideas for High temps?

Hi Sage! I was doing some research on this a few years ago and underground is possibly your answer. I never tried it but it makes sense if you have the room. http://www.raising-rabbits.com/support-files/rabbitbreedingsystemforhotclimate.pdf A lot of good ideas here but think it would depend on...

    Kits not leaving the nest

:yeahthat: Mine are usually in and out about 3 weeks old too. At 4 weeks they're like little piranha hunting their next meal as mom is slowing down feeding them.

Doe is 32 days pregnant...no kindling yet....

I generally slow down on greens before birth and start feeding "old fashioned oatmeal" to my expecting mothers. Seems to help hold down on the mess a little and help with milk production. After they have their kits, a week or so, I slowly start the greens again for mamma + oatmeal. edit: can'...

Is this rabbit safe to eat? (Strange strip of tissue inside)

It's the rabbit's gallbladder. Trim it out and enjoy. If it has already leaked it's gal you might find it rather strong tasting though. :x
