Where is everyone?

My rabbits are locked up, and there's security cameras and "other" security measures in place here. Not a major concern about someone showing up. Would be kinda stupid on their part.

How much does everyone pay for cell phone service

We have AT&T. 2 dumb smartphones (Galaxy S3) with unlimited talk & text and sharing 10gb of data, a wireless home phone, and another wireless "home" phone for the biz, both of those are unlimited use. Total cost $262.93/mo We had the option to get iphones but I refused, as I'm not going to use...

    I killed it :(

Oh, I forgot to add, that if for some reason I can't use the wood burner, I have the 41,000btu propane cooker I could put the perc pot on... Or use the inverter in my truck to power the hotplate to use the perc, or if it's just the electric out, I can plug the coffeepot into the inverter. IF ALL...

    I killed it :(

We have a regular 12 cup, a smaller 4 cup, and a keurig. If all of those fail, or the power is out, I have our wood burner and a old fashioned perc coffee pot. I can NEVER be without coffee :coffee: :coffeebath: Note to MC and MAGGIE... WE NEED MORE COFFEE RELATED SMILES! It's almost a crime.

    WASTING TOO MUCH HAY! :(

I pay $6 for a 75lb bale of good alfalfa hay. I've had to resort to buying them 10 bales at a time, so I don't have to worry about running out, as we're going through +/- 1 bale per month.

    Best way to trim nails?

:yeahthat: My arms are already scratched and scarred up enough. No reason to add any more unnecessarily.

    How to process a duck?

Years ago, we used to scald like with chickens. Too much time plucking required. Our methods for processing all things fowl have changed. We use the wax method now. Nice, clean, easy "plucking".

    Daisy doesn't like the Cone

Daisy doesn't like the cone... Well duh! Who do you know that enjoys being turned into a lamp for a week?  :P Seriously, they don't even look remotely comfortable.

    Anyone else iced in?

    :yeahthat: Same with W.VA.

__________ Thu Dec 12, 2013 9:49 am __________

That's why I like my older Suburban. Grab the handle, yank back, and go. No pushing buttons and waiting. The instant you pull the handle, you're in 4wd. The ATV we have engages it automatically...

--destructo dogs and the people who love them

Miles. My avatar pic. He HAS to see/get to me at ALL times. If we lock him in the crate, he pees all over the handles (and floor resulting, he apparently has good aim) then barks as loud as he can until let out. If he's loose, and I walk out the door for something without taking him, he runs...

My pet chicken? or other hatcheries?

We ordered 100 from Mt. Healthy and were able to get them delivered way up north here, in the middle of November. They seem to have some decent prices. There's no hatcheries that we can drive to. Even to get beekeeping supplies is mail order or a 4 hour each way drive. :(

Rescues may be heading my way

Nothing wrong with free bunnehs! And, believe me, I know about not having any cage space. I have 3 cages I just picked up that I have yet to hang. Stupid snow and I haven't built the droppings pan for underneath them yet. Oh well, maybe this weekend.
