    33 Day Pregnancy

My doe is on day 33 of her pregnancy. I was getting nervous at the end of day 31, day 32 I was getting worried, and now I am really worried...I don't know what's going on, or if I even should worry about it. The doe doesn't seem distressed at all, is eating and drinking fine. There's no...

    Early nesting

Both my does start nesting about 2 weeks early, every time. I give them a nestbox about 10 days in advance and they seem happier that way.

Good luck keeping that baby in! Any idea what you'll be looking for breed-wise when you are able to get back into breeding?

best next box/temp nest box help asap

I agree, nestboxes are so so easy to make! I cut the wood myself with my miter saw, but Home Depot or Lowe's will cut a piece of lumbar to your specs for free, usually up to three times per piece. Since I was using 1/2" plywood, I decided not to use nails or screws and instead used Gorilla Glue...

Okay, I sorta want to 'take the plunge'

I originally wasn't going to chime in on this post, but after today, I just had to. I have used webs.com for years, and always thought it was alright, but once or twice a month it just wouldn't work, I wouldn't be able to edit text, upload pictures, etc...and this would be both with the free...

    Tifton Hay

Maybe y'all should move to Montana, grass hay is very common, sells for about $35/ton, and it's much much more difficult to actually find alfalfa/timothy hay lol

    discouraged

I have had 3 litters, and one on the way. I still have yet to be able feel the marble-like kits inside. The only way I knew for sure was when they started getting fat! Good luck with your doe, one of mine is due on the same day as yours,so we'll both be waiting with our fingers crossed =)

    Pros/Cons of breeding meat rabbits

We just recently got started in rabbits, and so far everything is going smoothly for us. We raise meat mostly for our family, including our dogs, but we have traded some for fresh garden vegetables and fruits. I would rather do that than sell it. Tomorrow, I am trading some meat for a new...

    Aging (resting) rabbits and deboning

I just butchered my first rabbits a few days ago. I, too, had a hard time deboning. I think next time I'm going to take some kitchen string or wire, wrap it around one end of the bone and pull it down. I'm hoping this will easily and cleanly take off th meat...but I don't know for sure as I have...
