We plan to put in slant boards and gutters to catch the waste and funnel to a container to take out to a compost heap. We just ran out of time today to finish it. I put down some 6mil plastic to catch the stuff overnight.ladysown":3k73cqrm said:where are is the rabbit waste going to go? Looks nice so far...but it's so clean, makes me wonder where all the mess will end up.

I don't want to be a stick in the mud,
the whole thing looks excellent but?
I can't help but notice that the bottom of the
walls appear separated from the floor.
Are you going to block that somehow to prevent tiny predators
from having free access?

Hmmm...I guess I was thinking that the cats would take care of any of those, but I sure don't want to just assume that...I will take a look and see what I need to do with those slots. Thanks everyone, this is such a great place to learn!eco2pia":xfew16p1 said:Rats. In the north mink, weasels. But mostly rats.

Your set-up is amazing- you did a truly excellent job!If your really worried about those small openings a piece of carefully placed plywood should do the trick. Actually when I first saw them in your pics I thought you left the small openings to help with drainage when you clean the floors.
The only thing I noticed that you may consider if you want is adding a small "bunny board" (piece of flat plywood) so the bun has a place to stand where they are not on the wire so they dont get sore hocks. Other that that... everything is fantastic!
