Switching from crock to water bottle help please

I use small dog waters. They hold a volume of water have the advantage of a crock easy to drink from, also in the Oklahoma heat give the bun a place to cool there ears. Put ice in the jug keep water cool for a little while.

How to beat the heat ???!

Have mine in an open dirt floor run where they can tunnel, and misters in the run. Work good 100+ days haven't lost anyone. It is kinda strange walking out into the run and not seeing any rabbit around :o , all underground.

What to do with the extra parts from rabbit processing?

We save hearts, livers and kidneys. Roll the pelts up and freeze them, going to try my hand at tanning. All te rest we freeze and send out with the nest trash haul.

Good looking run :P Might want to put some chicken wire over the top I had to we have big hawks in our area. They can get a big rabbit with no problem. Do you have anything down to keep them from digging out?? :dig-hole: Great run.

    Joint rabbitry?

Play it safe keep your rabbitry name to your self. There is nothing worse than developing a good rep just to have it distroyed by a "good frised ". You can keep your's and her's in the same place but not under the same name.
