Depending upon where you live in NC, you could get on I-40, go straight into Nashville, TN, then go north from there on I-65 straight into Louisville. An even better route may be taking I-75 north out of Knoxville, TN to Lexington, KY, then catching I-64 from Lexington to Louisville. I always take interstate routes if they're in any way feasible. It may be a little further, but it usually works out the same way time wise.
Of all the interstate routes and I live close to all of them I-40/I-77 the I-77/I-64 route thru Charleston, WV is about an hour quicker than going I-40 to Asheville/Knoxville, etc. Again, it's those durn mountains where the road go in the opposite direction of where you want to go until you've crossed over. Ha. Most things are now packed with a few exceptions. I'm bringing and showing 12 rabbits, selling one, and picking up one I bought in PA in Feb which has been on loan thru Nationals. The young lady had wanted to show her at Nationals. The one I'm selling is being sold to her also, but I'm showing it first, so we're trading rabbits for the most part. If I keep all my carrier holes full I will be less tempted to yield to temptation and buy more. To all who are traveling, drive safe and hope to see you there!.
