She's a 12 week old Satin Angora. I had ones years ago and love the breed but they're hard to find here. Now she just needs a man for when she's old enough!

Hard to find, there's not a single French Angora breeder closer than Kentucky or the coast of VA from what I've seen. I think I'm gonna buy from a lady in MI and have them transported to TN or something and go pick them up. The lady in Kentucky tried to tell me it's a short 5 hour drive... Yeah, one way.. >.<
I drove 3 hours one way to get this doe, and I have driven 5 hours one way before for rabbits. It just depends on how determined you are to get that specific bunny!

We have the choice of English Angora or English Angora.
There is believed one satin buck in the country.
The only country that we can import rabbits from is New Zealand.

There *might* be a man in the works for her from the same breeder. There's a lot of ifs, ands, and buts, but he's a black SA about a year old. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it works out!

She's gorgeous. My husband has mentioned he would like a Satin Angora. Silly man.
Well you know, you're not that far from me, if he's that in love with them maybe we can work out a trade from her first litter and if I get this buck and meet half way? :mrgreen:

We drove to Denver for some of our starter stock. So... no distance is too far. A trade is doable! And I'm not kidding! LOL
Ooh, who did you buy from? I know a few of the breeders up there, lovely women with wonderful stock. They consistently clean house at the shows.
Two of my does are from Last Ditch Hoppers / Cheryl McMurl. They are absolutely wonderful.
Sunrise... you are not helping. Hubby is only on Satin coloring because of you!
