Ya, I looked at the KinTraks a few times before I deleted it. It was nice and all but too much of a program for what I want. I think.

I only have 2 rabbits and don't plan on getting too involved .. I just want to keep track of what I do have and produce with the two I have now. I would like to get another doe or two but even then the KinTraks Trial (for me) is too complicated.

Does everyone here use a software program ? If not, how is it going otherwise ? Do you use a binder like the 4-H advises for record keeping ?

I have 2 forms of pedigree. 1 has more info but runs to much into the margins to print the other has all the basic info. I like to record as much info as possible but don't include a pic. I'm not sure how to convert the file type or I would post them for you to see.

I have a binder and what's on the computer, but I prefer the binder as it's easier to take around with me, to the barn, to the shows, etc. The computer is actually the backup.

Thanks Skysthelimit. Definitely will go binder, but will have computer backup with external drive.

I have a binder, notebook, and the computer. I put any new info in the note book then type it up and save it on the computer, save it, print it and put it in the binder. Any new pedigrees are backed up on the computer and put in the binder as well.

yes, instead of the notebook, mines is a similar clipboard that hangs in the barn. I bring it in and transfer the info to the binder, then to the computer.

I'm gonna go with the binder to get started, sounds simple after the basics are created. And I can easily share my project with company who visits.

I fixed my typos and all - this is what I have so far.

Pedigree
Expenses
Rabbit Inventory
Breeding Record

I need to do a individual rabbit record and a health record yet, but I've been busy lately with other things going on at work ..

How does everything look so far, any suggestions ?

Thanks to all who helped me getting my project started, it is appreciated much.

None of these have allowed me to look at them. I had thought it was because I was too slow, and you were already doing more work on them. Does not seem to be the case this time.
- How can I see them? Please!

Sure, I got my ideas from blanks online. lol

I didn't try to print anything yet though. I followed all the margins so everything should be good to print - I just haven't printed anything yet.

Piper, I dunno. Maybe try copy & paste ? I do know all my previous posts with links are dead, I deleted them.

Ya, now I kinda wish I has 2 pedigreed rabbits instead of Jane and John. But, Jane and John it is.

Soo exciting all this rabbit stuff. You peeps are great too !! :)

I try to check your links as soon as you post. Do I need a Google Drive account, to be able to see your work?

I don't know Piper. I double checked my settings to be viewable by the public, they are. When I'm on my lunch break today I'll write a blog and put a download link - maybe that will work for ya. I'll post it here when I'm finished.

Ok Piper, I wrote a blog about my project and included a download page - you should be able to view from there. On the blog page just click one of the 6 document links and it will take you to a download page .. click that link and you should be able to view. If that doesn't work I dunno what's up.

You peeps have helped me with this project of creating records and have been surprisingly supportive - so I gave RabbitTalk some credits. Thanks again everyone, you are great and this site is the best for anything rabbit, I think. Alot of my researching on Google always ended up me going to a RabbitTalk discussion link. I look forward to hanging out here and learning all about rabbits.

I also finished today the doe record and buck record and added them to my blog. I saved room for images. I decided to add a flower - blue 4 buck - pink 4 doe- (like I put on the doe and buck record) to the pedigree also and adjusted the margins for images there too .. looks cute. Watcha think ? lol

My Blog

Tonight I'm gonna work on a binder cover. First I must prune my wisteria and mow the grass .. have a good one.

Melissa.

I am here!!!
Was able to open the "Pedigree" - will check the rest, but I suspect they will be fine.
Thank You! <3
